Gallery depth canvas covered in nostalgia. Days of old, when little girls wore fluffy laced dresses and played with porcelain dolls. Mom would make doll clothes with patterns from simplicity, those pattern advertisements being embedded into the canvas itself. Vintage doll ads, doll clothing patterns were built into the base of this pattern, the foundation of vintage days. She lives in her own vintage world doing what little girls do. Distressed, ragged and old hinting that the memory of the little girl has barely managed to stay composed through time. It’s not new. It’s not modern. It is a testament to a childhood that has long since passed. Beautifully vintage. But only being perfect in the heart of the woman looking back.
